The Largest WOA Education Event of the Year

The WOA Convention and Annual Meeting is the largest continuing education event offered by the WOA. Doctors can earn up to 24 hours of education throughout the event, which runs from Thursday afternoon to Sunday. In addition to classes, the event boasts over 50 exhibitors and hundreds of the top representatives in eye care.

Association affairs are also addressed at this conference with the annual business meeting, awards luncheon and presidents luncheon. The executive officers for the following year are also installed at the event.

The 2009 WOA Conference and Annunal Meeting was held at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. The highest attendance in WOA history, over 320 doctors from across Wisconsin and the nation attended. Education was provided by Doctors Ron Melton and Randall Thomas, recognized as ‘Glaucoma Educators of the Year’ by the American Academy of Optometry, and Dr. Leo Semes, director of continuing education at the University of Alabama School of Optometry.


The 2010 September Conference and Annual Meeting will be held Sept.23-26 at the Marriott Madison West in Middleton.
