WOA Convention and Annual Meeting

The 123^rd WOA Convention and Annual Meeting has come to a close, and what an incredible event it was! We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who joined us for Wisconsin's largest continuing education event for Optometrists and Optometric staff. Your presence and participation made this convention a resounding success.

From Thursday, September 28th through Sunday, October 1st, Optometrists statewide and farther gathered at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton, where we embarked on a journey of learning, networking, and growth. With 22 hours of exceptional continuing education opportunities, the event provided a platform for expanding ODs knowledge, honing their skills, and staying at the forefront of the ever-evolving field of optometry.

But the true highlight of the 2023 WOA Convention was undoubtedly the people who came together to make it a remarkable experience. The camaraderie, the exchange of ideas, and the passion for optometry were palpable throughout the event. It's this sense of community and shared purpose that sets our convention apart.

Convention featured the installation of Dr. Andrew Nahas as 2024 President, along with the rest of the Board for 2024, life membership award presentations and the celebration of the 50^th anniversary of the Wisconsin Paraoptometric Association. Look for a complete Convention recap in the October newsletter. CE credit verifications will be emailed out by the end of October.

As we reflect on this year's Convention, we're already looking forward to what the future holds for WOA events. We remain committed to continuing our mission of providing valuable education, fostering connections, and advancing the optometric profession in Wisconsin.

Our success is a testament to your dedication and enthusiasm, and we couldn't have achieved it without you. Thank you for being a part of the 2023 WOA Convention and Annual Meeting. We're excited about the journey ahead, and we can't wait until the next time we are together.
