The Wisconsin Paraoptometric Association (WPA) also held their Convention in conjunction with the WOA on Sept. 22-23, offering top-notch education to paras and staff. WOA members are truly grateful for the support of our paraoptometric professionals.
Thank you to all doctors who attended the 2017 WOA Convention and Annual Meeting, and thank you to all speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, optometry students, and paraoptometric professionals who helped make the event successful! We would also like to send a special thanks to our AOA Trustee Dr. James DeVleming who, accompanied by his bride, traveled all the way from the state of Washington. And finally, we would be remiss if we did not extend a special thanks to Drs. Chris Marquardt, Jeff Byers, Dennis Soderberg, Brandon Begotka, Heather Motisi and Larry Addison, all members of the OD band Three Degree Shed, for once again entertaining members and guests on Friday evening of Convention.
The Annual Convention is held to assist Wisconsin doctors of optometry in attaining the required 30 hours of continuing education required each biennium to maintain their state licensure. The 2017 WOA Convention and Annual Meeting was an excellent event for doctors, optometry students, exhibitors, and all in attendance. We enjoyed seeing everyone there and hope you will join us again next year for the 2018 Convention, being held Sept. 27-30, 2018, at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
